Here’s my coaching spiel:
A Division I basketball recruit, Riley Burke is thrilled to be sharing her experience of the game while empowering student athletes. In high school, Burke was an all-state selection and a McDonald’s All-American Nominee who recorded 1,000 career points as a sophomore and set the single-game record for points (40) at The Benjamin School.
In addition to playing competitive basketball, Burke was also a high school state track and field medalist in the 200m, 400m, and 800m, and she was selected as the Florida Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association Mandy Stoll Scholarship State Female Winner and Sun Sentinel Scholar-Athlete of the Year.
Through working with her legendary skills coach John Szela (of ProShot Basketball) from third grade until her senior year in high school, Burke learned the importance of fundamentals, repetition, and muscle memory (as well as the basics of a killer stationary and jump shot). She’s now honored to be passing along Coach Z’s wisdom by working with NYC and Westchester players on an individual and group basis, including as a coach with A Rob Academy.
